Built on 80 Years of Regional Evolution.
Strengthening Local Roots. Leading Statewide Solutions.

Benton-Franklin Health District
For 80 years, the Benton-Franklin Health District (BFHD) has delivered direct services while partnering across healthcare, agriculture, schools, emergency response, and community organizations to meet evolving public health needs. In 2025, BFHD was recognized by the Secretary of Health for Excellence and Leadership in Public Health. BFHD is seen as a resource and lead subject matter expert of Eastern Washington.

Foundational Public Health Services (FPHS)
FPHS allows us to go beyond maintaining the status quo. It strengthens the roots of our local public health system—investing in skilled workforce, laboratory modernization, emergency preparedness, overdose prevention, injury and violence prevention, maternal child health, environmental health protection, and data-driven prevention.
That local investment positions our region not only to protect families and businesses today, but to lead, innovate, and contribute to statewide solutions when challenges arise.
