The Health District offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP); confidential
counseling services as a benefit. Some of the topics EAP can assist with
are: family and relationship concerns, work problems, stress, substance
abuse, financial or legal concerns, depression or anxiety and grief. Employees
and their dependents are eligible to use the program at no cost.
An education allowance is allotted to each employee to attend a work related educational seminar, conference or training program.
The BFHD Workforce Development Team provides agency wide training and development. The District pays for employees to access online training classes through various learning management systems. Courses offered through the learning management systems are designed to enhance an employee’s current position within BFHD, to teach an employee new skills that may be used in other positions within the district, or for personal and professional development.
Regular part-time employees are entitled to benefits; at pro-rated premiums or levels based on the number of hours they work each month.
