The Community of HOPE Coalition takes a community-based approach to address the root causes of toxic stress, adversity, and trauma in order to build resilience, promote healing, and advance equity on a community level. Its work is intended to use evidence-based practices and incorporate data to amplify, impact and advance systems change; it is not intended to replace the efforts of the many other communities or direct-service providers working towards similar goals. Instead, we strive to bring groups together to raise awareness and promote safe, stable, and nurturing relationships and environments. We create community-level change by using the Tufts HOPE (Healthy Outcomes of Positive Experiences) framework, the science of hope and the Positive Community Norms framework.
Together we will:
- Develop a shared understanding and shared language regarding issues unique to our community, toxic stress, and childhood adversity and their impacts throughout the life course.
- Assess the community’s state of readiness to support change.
- Engage cross-sector partners to support the efforts of the coalition.
- Engage our community to make change and promote hope.
This Coalition meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 3:30-5:00 pm via Teams.
