The Benton-Franklin Health District is proud to serve our community by providing services to people living with HIV and persons at high risk. The Health District also provides HIV Education and PrEP Navigation.
The CDC considers high-risk behavior: having more than one sexual partner, sharing any needles or syringes, and having sex with someone who is diagnosed with HIV or has been diagnosed with or treated for another Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI).
Those at high risk can call the BFHD front desk to set up an appointment for STD testing (509-460-4200). Appointments are 30 minutes each at the BFHD Clinic in Kennewick (7102 W. Okanogan Place, Kennewick, WA 99336).
To help the testing process run smoothly, BFHD staff recommends that participants be well-hydrated and keep their hands warm for the finger stick test.
Testing is confidential, and clients have access to counselors who can discuss ways to reduce the risks of HIV. Bilingual staff is available to assist in Spanish.
